Hi, I’m LJ! (she/her)

I’m an artist, writer, and wonderer.

I started this project in February 2024 out of a personal need for more joy and lightness in my days, and from a desire to devote myself to a creative practice to lift my spirits during an especially hard season.

Each week, I write personal essays and observations about the ordinary wonders, joy, and pleasures of life, sometimes including photography or short films. My work centers on the question: “what if wonder and whimsy is a form of resistance? what if noticing everyday beauty is a devotion to the future we want to live in?”

This project is an experimental one, a labor of love that is ever unfolding and still taking shape. This project has become not only a container for me to experiment with my creative process, but also a space for connection and community.


Now more than ever, I believe more art is needed! more poetry! more love! This ongoing project is a devotion to imagination and joy, an offering toward the world we are dreaming into being, and to the belief that creativity, beauty, play, and poetry will help pave the way.
